This position will be assigned to the JBSA Fort Sam Houston Golf Course located in SAN ANTONIO TEXAS. This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hrs/wk. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible category position are not eligible for benefits.

Duties

Employee is responsible for daily accountability, security and timely deposits of all funds generated by the snack bar and pro shop. Provides general guidance to other employees such as driving range personnel, cart barn employees, snack bar attendants and pro shop recreation aides. Assists golfers and pro shop customers in the selection of merchandise and maintains and orderly flow of golfers on the course. Secures the facility at completion of the day activities. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: This is an entry level position, no experience required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of golf course operations are desirable. 2) Knowledge of the game of golf. **NOTE: Those qualified applicants who meet both the minimum qualification requirement(s) and highly preferred criteria(s) will be considered best qualified for this position and will be referred to the selecting official(s) first for consideration.
