This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Region in Phoenix, Arizona.
Duties
Incumbent will provide professional Real Estates Services in the Western Region and your duties will include, but not limited:
Serving as an advocate for the protection, conservation, and prudent utilization of Indian lands.
Analyzing requests for use of Indian-owned trust assets to determine the compatibility of proposed uses with agency mission and owner needs.
Implementing a trust real estate services program to accomplish the timely and efficient processing of various realty transactions, i.e. right-of-way and surface, and subsurface leasing.
Consulting interested parties about the processes, timelines, documentation, and other needs that may be associated with real estate services activities.
Providing sound technical assistance to the Agencies and Tribes.

Qualifications
GS-12:
One (1) Year or Fifty-two (52) weeks of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Examples of specialized experience includes performance of tasks that demonstrate the ability to apply an extensive knowledge of real estate principles, rules, regulations, and practices to manage real estate services of Indian-owned property; monitoring realty related activity for compliance through on-site inspection and reporting; performing audits of real estate management practices, real estate transactions, and legal instrument preparation to assure conformance with legal, statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements; formulating and establishing work plans and daily assignments; providing findings and recommendations on complex problems/issues; building a shared vision with others; providing guidance to other staff in areas related to real estate services; coordinating responses to inquiries, i.e. Congressional, general public, etc. and completing other special reports; and collaborating and coordinating contract transactions to ensure that the necessary clearances and procedures have been secured and completed (i.e., appraisals, NEPA, TSR, etc.).
