About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the US Army Material Command Logistics Support Activity, Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Duties
Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist, action officer and functional expert of one or more logistics systems.
Utilize broad range of knowledge of LOGSA's automated databases and their interfaces and requirements of DoD and DA policies to ensure integration of an effective data base.
Coordinate and assist DA, AMC, Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs), and/or major commands concerning logistic support issues.
Develop and maintain appropriate documentation and functional user instructions.
Keep abreast of system and program changes and trends in data base or file conditions, which may indicate logistics or force management problems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- May be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as project owner and/or subject matter expert supporting one or more logistics business processes and associated data in the management of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and non-ERP supply and item processes. Data management includes, but is not limited to, multiple logistics disciplines to include but not limited to: Unique Item Tracking (UIT), Item Unique Identification (IUID), Asset Visibility and Property Book Accounting which includes legacy and (ERP), Pipeline (Supply Chain Transactions), Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), War Reserves, and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) data sets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
