The Antitrust Division has an opening for a IT Specialist (Forensics) to join its dedicated team and gain invaluable experience working in the public interest to protect the competitive process. Duties

This position is located in the Litigation Support Section (LSS) of the Executive Office (EXO) within the Antitrust Division (ATR). EXO is a very dynamic and fast paced office, delivering the professional management services that power ATR's people and mission. Within EXO, LSS provides a wide range of services and technology products that help attorneys Division-wide acquire, organize, develop, and present evidence in support of an investigation or case. As a Information Technology Specialist (Forensics), responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to: Writing and reviewing forensic documentation, seizure planning/processing, forensic analysis, data extraction guidelines, and instructions. Providing expertise in technical and forensic support on materials resulting from the execution of search warrants or consensual searches. Understanding of O365 Security and Purview. Setting up and maintaining an online file sharing system and a forensics lab. Providing direction for the processing of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) from seized forensic images and loading of productions received from producing parties. Developing, reviewing, and maintaining production specifications and load file/processing checklists related to forensic productions. Researching, developing, evaluating, testing, administering, documenting, training, and troubleshooting new litigation support and forensic tools. Serving as a technical and eDiscovery resource in eDiscovery negotiation calls and meetings, and providing consulting services and troubleshooting ESI productions, including On-Us Discovery related to forensic data. Interpreting complex technical requirements into practical terms for ESI processing, coding layout design, and implementation. Planning and management of electronic discovery and forensics. Using litigation software tools such as Relativity, CaseMap Suite, CaseMap Server, LAW Forensic and other Litigation Support IT software including Cellebrite, XWays, Encase, Paraben, Penlink, FTK, PreDiscovery, IPRO, Concordance, and other tools. Production data conversion/manipulation, including the use of regular expressions. To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is experience that has provided you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to this position being filled. This experience must be identified in your resume. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the GS-13 level include: Implementing or maintaining the back end or technical requirements of forensic and litigation support applications; Working with Forensic and other Litigation Support IT software including Cellebrite, Axiom, XWays, Encase, Paraben, Penlink, and/or FTK; Writing and reviewing forensic documentation, seizure planning/processing, forensic analysis, and data extraction guidelines; and Providing expertise in technical and forensic support on materials resulting from the execution of search warrants or consensual searches; and Testing and evaluation of litigation support and forensic tools. To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the specialized experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply, and you must meet the following basic requirements.
