About the Position: The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) develops and delivers responsive aviation, missile and calibration materiel readiness to the U.S. Army. The position is located within US Army Aviation and Missile Command, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems however, multiple vacancies maybe filled using this announcement.


Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees, in accordance with established work flow and/or skill level. Analyze logistical problems, in aviation and missile systems, and recommend course of action to resolve issues that arise during development or sustainment of a major weapon system. Oversee short and long-range planning to ensure adequate readiness support is available to maintain unit/system readiness. Perform readiness studies and/or special projects to improve readiness and/or supply availability of supported weapon system, which include preparing reports and/or formal written/oral briefings. Develop of maintenance concepts, supply support elements, and product improvement initiatives to ensure quality sustainment of weapon system in support of Program Management Office logistics.


  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to travel away from the duty station (TDY) 25% of the time.
  • Incumbent must possess, obtain and maintain Level 3 Acquisition Certification in Life Cycle Logistics within 4 years of entrance on duty.
  • Incumbent required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry and annually thereafter.


This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position. The employee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification assigned on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data fields in the header of the PD/PRD. Advance Career Level Certification in Life Cycle Logistics Certification must be met within 4 years. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
