Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Program Support Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Serving as a Program Support Specialist with responsibility to perform a wide variety of administrative and program functions which may involve matters related to budget, property, travel, procurement, human resources, or other program activities.
Reviewing and analyzing directives and policies to determine impact on operations.
Assisting in planning for and arranging the agenda of meetings and/or conferences.
Serving as a liaison between divisions to ensure administrative requirements/policies are being addressed and implemented consistently by leadership and professional staff.
Duties as shown are at the full performance level (FPL) of the GS-11. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the FPL.
Salaries by Location:
San Diego, California (San Diego-Chula Vista-Carlsbad, CA table):
GS-09 - $68,297 - $88,786 per annum
GS-11 - $82,633 - $107,421 per annum

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:
For GS-09: EXPERIENCE: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service performing at least two (2)of the following:
Maintaining a calendar, scheduled appointments and/or meetings on behalf of a supervisor.
Arranging travel for supervisors including conferences, including matters such as location, agenda, and materials.
Utilizing computer software, such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, Power Point, Outlook and specialized databases to extract and organize data, produce letters, memorandums, and spreadsheets.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least two (2) full years (36 semester/54 quarter credits) of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Master's degree or equivalent, or LL.B. or J.D., in related disciplines appropriate to the position in an accredited U.S. education program. For GS-11: EXPERIENCE: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3)of the following:
Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative operations.
Communicating both orally and in writing, to explain recommendations, provide guidance, advise management, and respond to inquiries.
Planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a program or support setting.
Developing policies, procedures, and criteria for administration of projects.
