Salary: The salary range indicated in this announcement will be adjusted to include locality payment for selected duty location. General Schedule locality pay tables may be found under Salaries & Wages.
Duties
Monitors Office of Family Assistance (OFA) program grant recipients across the country that require initiating and maintaining regular communication with grant recipients through correspondence, telephone calls, and site visits to observe how grant recipients are fulfilling the objectives of their grant.
Administering Office of Family Assistance (OFA) programs (e.g., reviewing plans and annual reports, resolving audits, and reviewing work verification plans), identifying and responding to policy issues, proactively supporting the strategic priorities of OFA through technical assistance activities and outreach, and working in collaboration with other members of the regional and central office teams.
Providing technical assistance and guidance to recipients, making recommendations on noncontroversial program related issues and concerns, and updating relevant OFA teams.
Assists grant recipients with submitting accurate program, data, and financial reports on time.
Works independently to provide policy guidance to grant recipients to ensure compliance with all program requirements.

Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.
Basic Requirement: You must meet one of the items listed below (A, B, or C): A. Possess a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (Must provide transcripts) B. Possess a combination of education and experience -- that provided you with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (Must provide transcript) C. Possess four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Specialized Experience:GS-13: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (4) of the (5) duties listed below:
Monitoring a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program or other program serving low-income families for compliance with program requirements as given in law, regulation, or other written guidance;
Researching laws, regulations, or other written guidance to answer a question about the allowability of an expense or activity associated with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or another program serving low-income families;
Establishing short- or long-term goals, determine resource requirements, set priorities, and organize work for a project serving a vulnerable or marginalized community;
Utilizingprinciples, methods, and tools for scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources for a project serving a vulnerable or marginalized community;
Submitting or review data and reports that demonstrates progress toward stated objectives for a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program or other program serving low-income families.

Time-in-Grade Requirement: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). You must include an SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one) that supports meeting this requirement with your application package.
