Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected office that is responsible for evaluations, inspections, and reviews of DOJ programs. As a Program Analyst, you will perform the following duties, typically in a team environment as a team member, and occasionally as the sole analyst for specific products of limited scope.
The Program Analyst will actively participate in and assist teams that review DOJ programs and functional areas to assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, or participate in sensitive and complex congressional or DOJ management inquiries referred for review.

Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- You must be registered for the Selective Service, if applicable.
- You must successfully pass and are subject to random drug screenings.
- You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
- You may be subject to a probationary period.
- If selected you must complete and sign a Pathways Recent Graduate Agreement.
Qualifications
Recent Graduate Program Eligibility: To meet these requirements at the GS-09 grade level, you must have obtained a qualifying master's, professional, doctoral, or technical/vocational degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within the previous 2 years from close of announcement date.
Preference-eligible veterans who have been precluded from applying due to their military service obligation have as much as 6 years after acquiring a qualifying degree to apply.
Qualification Requirements
All applicants must meet one of the of the following eligibility requirements to qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level:
A Master's or equivalent degree, OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related, OR
Specialized experience at the GS-7 level received from paid or unpaid experience that has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include but are not limited to: 1) Collecting and analyzing information from diverse data sources; 2) Interviewing individuals to gather information; 3) Evaluating internal and external policy; 4) Communicating complex and/or controversial issues both in writing and verbally; 5) Possessing sound knowledge of how to use various databases and spreadsheets, and developing graphs, charts, and other data visualizations to organize, analyze, and present a variety of data.
You have to meet the requirements within 90 days of the closing date on the announcement.
Education
