Duties
Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and administration of the day to day operations of a multi-property recreational lodging facility with more than ninety (90) rooms and/or suites for Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Program oversite includes 15 two/three/four bedroom Villa Suites, 24 Fairway Inns Hotel Rooms, 14 Beach Cottages, and 30 Efficiency Cabana Units. Position also includes full responsibility of a temporary self-storage facility. Major responsibilities include meeting the Recreational Lodging brand standards developed by higher headquarters and to remain in compliance with applicable DoD, SECNAV, Marine Corps Orders and other regulations. Scope of responsibilities include guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance operations for all facilities. Ensures the delivery of quality service for eligible patrons meeting or exceeding commercial hotel standards. Measures guest satisfaction by conducting surveys and studies to affirm that services, security, and facilities meet branding standards for paton needs and the efficiency and cleanliness of all operations. Develops and implements new business opportunities and marketing strategies to promote the program locally, nationally, and internationally. Cultivates business relationships, both internally and externally, and establishes contracts/agreements to drive occupancy rates Prepares financial plans, budgets, cost controls, inventories and related records and reports. Reviews the financial status and operation of facilities; recommends changes to ensure optimum efficiencies. Provides oversight to contracted services as required.

Qualifications
Four years applicable management and supervisory experience in the travel and tourism industry or related industries in which guest services and hospitality is the major delivery of outstanding customer service. Certification in hotel administration is desired. Knowledge of non-appropriated funding instrumentality (NAFI) operations is highly preferred. Must be capable of managing numerous facilities and programs. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and must be able to support travel requirements of all branches of military personnel and their families. Ability to navigate through diverse electronic databases and enterprise-type systems is required. Must be knowledgeable of government travel orders. Must be able to be certified and maintain certification as a Contracting Officers Representative and possess extensive knowledge of contractual agreements and good negotiation skills. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of credit card responsibility and may be appointed to be the authorized credit card holder or approving official for purchases. This is a white-collar position where lifting up to 30 lbs may be required.
