Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

Duties

Responsible for the administration and management of the facilities and maintenance department of a recreational program. Acts as the liaison with MCCS Logistics on facility and maintenance repair, projects, renovations and minor construction.  Initiates the repair and maintenance of equipment in support of facility activities. Observes required safety, sanitation, and hazardous waste disposal rules and regulations. Prepares and/or approves requisitions for all necessary equipment and supplies. Maintains inventory and is responsible for purchasing and property accounting records. Acts as primary point of contact with MCCS Logistics Project Managers in support of the base Facility Maintenance Department on maintenance matters.

Qualifications

A minimum of three years of supervisory experience that demonstrates knowledge to supervise a facility and maintenance operations.  Ability to apply the principles, methods, techniques and theories of mechanical and electrical to oversee the management and administration of facilities and maintenance functions.  Knowledge of work methods and practices of various building trades.  Knowledge of pertinent safety, occupational health and environmental regulations.  Ability to supervise.  Ability to communicate orally and in writing.  Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred.  This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
