This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This Operation Officer position is assigned to the Defensive Cyber Operations Office of the Project Manager, located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Duties

Incumbent initiates and develops programs and investigate approaches with broad authority and minimal direction for planning and administering the assigned responsibilities. Participates in providing overall direction, guidance, leadership and coordination of operations. Oversee projects and programs and shapes the goals of the organizational units, make decisions on work problems and administrative proposals. Perform full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties. Supervises the assignment of work, ensuring the communications and understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• One-year probationary period may be required.
• One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 or GS-13 equivalent.
