This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Operations, Assistant Commandant for Reserves (CG-R), Office of Reserve Readiness, Resources, and Analysis (CG-R8), Meas, Analysis & Comp Readiness Division, Washington, DC.
Duties
As a Program Analyst (data analyst), you will be responsible for new and established projects, programs, and systems, developing and establishing guidance for carrying out program functions and effects. You will, also, analyze both internal and external data as well as apply comprehensive and expert knowledge to advise the Assistant Commandant for Reserve on needs, operational impacts, strategic objectives, and other related issues for new and established projects, programs, and systems.

Qualifications
For the GS-14 grade level: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience includes: Applicant Must Meet all of the conditions below.
Leveraging analytics to accomplish statistical research or business results; AND
Modifying data and managing databases to improve techniques; AND
Developing and delivering detailed internal briefings, executive level briefings, and briefings to other agencies; AND
Utilizing analytic software tools and generating data visualization products including graphs, charts, and dashboards (Python, PowerBI); AND
Serving as a research liaison for federal, state, local agencies, special interest groups to determine common data needs; AND
Share responsibility of data collection, analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of personnel management programs in meeting established goals and objectives.
