About the Position: Serves as the International Military Affairs Specialist at Fort Gregg-Adams.
Duties
Serves as the Senior Specialist for the SCETP and on all International Military Student (IMS) matters.
Advises the SCETP Director and in his absence represents the Army Sustainment University leadership on all matters pertaining to SCETP.
Educating the leadership, faculty, staff and the civilian community about Security Assistance matters in general, and the execution of the SCETP.
Ensures consistent application of SCETP policies among COE and supported participants.
Assists with the planning and directing of operations of the COE-IMSO to include budget and manpower.
Aids the Director to ensure compliance with financial management directives and policies (TLA Approving Official, GPC Certifying Official, etc.
Planning the work and personnel needs based on existing and anticipated operational requirements.
Assures uniform application of all administrative and operating policies and procedures, coordination of related responsibilities and resolution of problems encountered in day-to-day operations.
Plans and directs pre-arrival and departure of students, Field Studies Program (FSP) activities, and supporting events.
Assists in the development of local policy guidance for the SCETP to include the IMS sponsorship program utilizing local and regional civic and installation individuals and organizations.

- Possess a valid license for operating a military 15 passenger van for student transportation both day and night in all weather conditions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: serving as a public relations representative by developing and processing lesson plans designed to educate others on the American customs and/or culture; preparing and managing an annual budget; and organizing social and/or civic function for an International Military Student program.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
