This position will be assigned to the Air Force Service Center. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Duties

Provides accounting application support in the NAF SSC. Provides live customer contact and expert application support for the Oracle 11i accounting, payroll, and timekeeping software applications used by the NAF SSC and all Air Force NAF accounting technicians and managers. Provides applications support expertise and help for up to 300 Oracle application power users and numerous occasional NAF SSC customers. Provides interface between the Application Support Branch customers and on call Tier III technical support provided by a contracted vendor. Provides application support for the NAF SSC application accounting software to ensure it operates without interruption. As a live call application customer support agent, performs all duties required to professionally answer live phone calls and emails, capture information, analyze and solve problems, and hand off to another help agent when appropriate. Incumbent will be tasked to train new members of the Application Support Branch to become technical accounting application experts and as a Customer Support professional. Moderate travel may be required to support NAF SSC customers. The incumbent performs other duties as directed to include providing training to both at HQ AFSVA and in the field on technical and accounting user familiarization with the capabilities of the NAF SSC accounting application. Provides system administration support as appropriate and within the customer support agreement with AFSVC Directorate of Management Systems (HQ AFSVC/SVT). Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Per DoDM 8140.03, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate foundational and resident qualification requirements within nine months of assignment.

Qualifying Experience: Experience which provides a broad working knowledge of Oracle Financials systems applications management and support. Experience with accounting systems. Experience which provides a solid understanding of the use of and the operation and functioning of personal computers, relational databases, networking principles, and systems administration in one or more of the following: Windows NT & 2000, Unix, or Linux. Experience to work as an application support live call agent. Experience working with MS Office application software. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Ability to develop financial reports. Ability to develop training aids, lesson plans, and training curriculum. Knowledge of industry-standard customer support best-practices. Knowledge of software development process. Ability to apply problem solving skills to customer support incidents. Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to work in a team setting.
