The Basic, Senior, and Master experience designations align with the base-line experience required of an individual occupying a specific position on the crew UMD. The crew rating of Basic, Senior, and Master reflects an individual's experience attained which can be more than is required of the actual PD they occupy. PD is based on mission needs; the
experience rating reflects an individual's technical experience.
