You will serve as a Materials Handler of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will unload incoming trucks on a daily basis and place material in the proper location.
You will receive, segregate, store, handle, and pack HAZMAT and other materials.
You will maintain accurate inventory records and material receipts using the Security Cooperation Management System (SCMS).
You will use the SCMS System to research and identify various items, generate shipping documents, receipts, labels, and research for identification of items received without proper documents using the SCMS System.
You will operate forklifts, other material handling equipment.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You must possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks including the ability to do the work of a WG-6907-06 Materials Handler demonstrated through experience, working under limited supervision, receiving, handling, segregating, storing, stowing, inventorying, and documenting the movement and storage of supplies, equipment, or materials in accordance with prescribed regulations; performing inspections of incoming shipments to check for damage and compliance with technical requirements; documenting discrepancies, damage, and technical non-compliance; reading and preparing shipping documents and labels; using computer applications and automated equipment such as bar code wands, laser scanners, or computer terminals to document the movement of material; determining proper handling and storage procedures; utilizing available storage space for means of achieving maximum space utilization, material flow, and proper layout; operating forklifts, motor vehicles, and material handling equipment.
