You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will perform a full range of warehouse functions in order to handle, move, and store material in the proper location.
You will review item characteristics such as special storage requirements, security requirements, and historical data in order to locate material in the proper area.
You will use the Security Cooperation Management System (SCMS) to research and identify items and generate shipping documents,
receipts, and labels.
You will utilize automated equipment, such as bar code wands, laser scanning equipment, or computer terminals to verify inventory levels, place stock, verify storage locations, and produce shipment documentation.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator License.
- You will be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. B. I have the ability to perform common tasks including receiving, handling, segregating, storing, stowing, inventorying, and documenting the movement and storage of supplies, equipment, or materials in accordance with prescribed regulations; performing inspections of incoming shipments to check for damage and compliance with technical requirements; documenting discrepancies and damage; reading instructions and supply documents; using computer applications and automated equipment to document the movement of material; determining proper handling and storage procedures; utilizing available storage space for means of achieving maximum space utilization, material flow, and proper layout; operating motor vehicles, forklifts, and other material handling equipment; I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
