You will serve as a Materials Handler Leader in the Material Division of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will plan and schedule the workload for assigned employees and determine the various steps, methods, procedures, and techniques required to accomplish
operations.
You will advise workers on procedures and deadlines, check work in progress, review completed work for accuracy and compliance with procedures, and ensure work is accomplished within established deadlines.
You will provide information to supervisor or team lead on status and progress of work, causes of delays, or any problems encountered.
You will select material for shipment, interpret shipping documents, and check accuracy of items selected (i.e., locator number, stock number, unit of issue, standard identifier and serial number).
You will be responsible for warehousing operations (i.e., receiving, storing, packing, and shipping) involving expensive, fragile, and long-lead reactor plant components and equipment in four occupied warehouses.
You will conduct safety inspections of the warehouse and report all safety deficiencies or damage to the warehouse or warehouse racking to the supervisor.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operator license.

I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including: 1) Checking the work of others to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures, setting the pace of work, and demonstrating proper work methods and techniques to accomplish operations within established deadlines; 2) Providing oral instructions and written work orders to workers; 3) Conducting warehouse inspections and reporting safety deficiencies or damage; 4) Reading and interpreting instructions and supply documents; 5) Reviewing warehouse storage areas to determine where material consolidation and re-locating is necessary to optimize warehouse space; 6) Receiving, issuing, preparing for shipment, segregating, storing, stowing, inventorying, and documenting the movement and storage of materials; and 7) Returning completed shipping documentation for processing and ensuring inventory records are updated.
B. I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks on my own initiative including: 1) Checking the work of others to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures, setting the pace of work, and demonstrating proper work methods and techniques to accomplish operations within established deadlines; 2) Providing oral instructions and written work orders to workers; 3) Conducting warehouse inspections and reporting safety deficiencies or damage; 4) Reading and interpreting instructions and supply documents; 5) Reviewing warehouse storage areas to determine where material consolidation and re-locating is necessary to optimize warehouse space; and 6) Receiving, issuing, preparing for shipment, segregating, storing, stowing, inventorying, and documenting the movement and storage of materials.
C.
