Duties

This position is located within the United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Office of Renewable Energy Programs. This position will be for one vacancy and may be located in any of the following locations: Washington, D.C.; Sterling, Virginia; Jefferson, Louisiana; or Camarillo, California. At the full performance level (GS-14) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: As a Renewable Energy Stakeholder and Partnerships Coordinator, you will perform a broad range of coordinating and advisory functions and will be a primary liaison for all renewable energy program-related stakeholder and/or intergovernmental coordination across private sector communities of interest and/or federal, state and local government agencies, BOEM's Office of International Affairs and OREP's Tribal Liaison Coordinator (stakeholders). You will represent BOEM interests in intergovernmental and/or public meetings and discussions and: 1. Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders interested in BOEM renewable energy projects and facilitate two-way communication. 2. Ensure all stakeholders are kept apprised of changes or new developments and participate in or lead key meetings. 3. Establish and implement a communications plan and establish and maintain a database of contacts. 4. Analyze and identify potential conflicts in new and developing renewable energy offshore policies. 5. Draft correspondence, prepare summaries and briefing materials; advise on partnership agreements and prepare the agreement terms and conditions and follow up on compliance. 6. Identify where and when organizational input, coordination, and necessary adjustments are needed; formulate requirements and advise management on essential actions and the impact of program changes. Salary Information Sterling, Virginia and Washington, D.C.: $139,395.00 - GS-14: $181,216.00 per annum. Camarillo, California: $142,094.00 - $184,275.00 per annum. Jefferson, Louisiana: $122,198.00 - $158,860.00 per annum. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level. This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification Requirements: To qualify for this position you must meet the specialized experience for the series to which you are applying. Specialized Experience To qualify for the GS-14, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: 1) Building coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, State and/or Local governments, nonprofit and/or private-sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals; 2) Planning, developing, implementing, and managing a national communication program, project, strategy or initiatives for various audiences; 3) Conducting analyses and making reports and presentations on developing federal and/or private projects; AND 4) Preparing and/or reviewing policy recommendations and technical proposals relative to project planning. Must meet all.
