Purpose of this position is to execute the 412th Security Forces Detachment 1 Security Specialist Standardization Evaluation (Stan/Eval) program testing and inspections responsibilities and advise and assist in meeting program requirements.

Prepares, updates, administers, and evaluates results of random, initial, and annual duty position tests. Performs Stan/Eval inspections. Coordinates inspection schedules with branch/section chiefs and supervisors. Conducts inspections and documents finding. Maintains inspection files. Briefs on inspection findings. Performs administrative and coordinative duties for the stan/eval program.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
  • This is a designated Drug Testing Position. The employee is subject to random drug testing.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical. Due to heavy lifting; extended periods of standing, stooping, kneeling, tactical movements, physical exertions, etc.
  • Department of Defense Physical Security Certification conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DOD Security Accreditation and Certification.
  • Up to 25% Travel possible.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 5 days per year.
  • This position has access to classified information.
  • The employee may be required to work nonstandard hours and have indoor/outdoor duties.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and Office of Personnel Managment (OPM) prescribed "Unscheduled Telework."

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience which includes Initiates corrective action or advises branch/section chiefs and supervisors about selecting the best course of action considering relative costs and available funding, regulatory requirements, the range of acceptable security decisions, and chances of achieving successful results. Prepares, updates, administers, and evaluates results of random, initial, and annual duty position tests. Documents test results and maintains testing program files. Conducts inspections and documents findings. Maintains inspection files. Briefs on inspection findings. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of security concepts, principles, and methodologies to plan and implement stan/eval programs. 2. Knowledge of DoD Security Forces missions, functions, and structure. 3. Ability to conduct testing and inspections, evaluate results, and prescribe or recommend corrective measures for deficiencies. 4. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. 5. Ability to establish effective working relationships with SF branch/section chiefs, contributing to a cooperative work environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
