This position serves as a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist and reports directly to the Chief of Facility Management and Engineering within the Facility Management Division.

Duties
Some of the duties you will perform include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a facility management expert and member of the park facility management team, overseeing multiple supervisory staff positions, and is responsible for park-wide Roads, Trails, Buildings, and Utilities units of the Division.
Establish strategic priorities and coordination of project management, operations, and compliance work.
Serve on the facility management team providing long-range strategic planning, interdivisional coordination and partnership development.
Oversee the development and execution of the Facility Management budget.
Identify, prioritize and develop multi-year project programs with cross divisional coordination.
Provide management and oversight of Facility Maintenance Management System (FMSS) to analyze and implement long term plan to sustainably manage all the park's facilities.
Perform the full range of supervisory duties and ensure safe operations.
Duty Location Information:
Lake Mead National Recreation Area (Boulder City, NV), America's largest reservoir, was created by the construction of the Hoover Dam. With more than 750 miles of shoreline, you can enjoy a day at the beach, take a boat out and disappear for hours or nestle into a cove to try to catch a big one. Located in the western part of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Boulder Bay stretches more than a mile along the shoreline of the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead. Boulder Beach has access to many recreation opportunities. Boulder Beach, Special Events Beach, Canoe/Kayak Beach, and PWC Beach are 1-2 miles away where you can kayak and jet ski. To explore the park on land, the River Mountains Loop Trail passes right by the campground. This paved trail is more than 30 miles long and leads to the Historic Railroad Trail. Boulder City is a short drive from the Las Vegas Metropolitan area.

Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by 11:59 PM EST when the 'applicant cut-off' is reached (which may be sooner than 02/21/2024).
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. Failure to adequately provide information needed to determine number of hours worked in each position may result in that time not being credited when evaluating qualifying experience.
For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected.
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: (1) managing office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, or recreation facilities including planning maintenance activities & developing preventive maintenance programs (2) working as a planner, contractor, or inspector of journey-level workers in the construction industry including estimating materials and labor costs for a variety of maintenance projects or contracts; (3) Conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations including reviewing project plans and specifications for workability informing contractors of construction and reporting requirements, and supervising operations for conformance with project plans. You must include hours per week worked.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
CTAP/ICTAP: CTAP/ICTAP provides placement assistance to permanent Federal employees who are surplus, displaced, or involuntarily separated.
