This position is located at River Cove Community Center in support of the Bingo Operation which is part of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department aboard Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Bingo Program Manager.
Duties
Assist in the operation and control of the Bingo program in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of budget for the Bingo program.
Assist in the procurement of required merchandise, goods and services including proper storage to prevent pilferage. Inventories supplies.
Preform full range of technical and limited administrative supervision over Bingo Recreation Aides.
Train, evaluate, counsel and recommend discipline of employees.
Prepare work schedule to ensure adequate staff availability for daily business and special events.
Recommend to manager new or different programs based on customer requests.
Responsible for set up and storage of Bingo equipment prior to and after Bingo sessions.
Assure facility is neat, clean and well maintained.
Ensure compliance with fire, safety and security regulations.
Requirements
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
- Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
- May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
- Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
- A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
- Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Must be at least 18 years old of age.
- Must reside within 50 miles of 32212.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be individual mature with the ability to lead and train employees.
Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Incumbent must be able to meet and deal courteously and tactfully with persons of divergent backgrounds, varying rates/ranks of military, varying levels of civilian and various management levels.
Ability to understand and carry out basic verbal instructions.
Must possess basic math skills to prepare a variety of records and reports, perform inventory accountability, compute charges, and make change accurately.
Must present a neat, clean appearance.
Incumbent must be able to keep accurate records and have knowledge in cash handling.
Must be familiar with and able to operate calculators, computerized Bingo equipment and cash registers.
