About the Position: Serves in the Information Management Office (IMO) for the Fort Sill Garrison Commander and exercises the full range of program management responsibilities to include the responsibilities for planning, developing, implementing, executing, and evaluating the Information Systems Administration and Management Program.

Duties

Provide expert technical advice to the organization on desktop hardware, peripherals, laptops, Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software, application software requirements and end user requirements. Develop program goals and objectives to meet and forecast IT requirements for the organization. Resolve difficult and complex problems in primary desktop support to organizational IT users. Certify the validity of agency requirements for all IT purchases.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • Will be required to obtain and maintain Government Purchase Card.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • All new hires appointed to CS\IT positions must complete all DoD 8570.1-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program training and certification (baseline and computing environment (CE)) requirements within 6 months.
  • Sustainment training is required to keep the CS\IT professional proficient in their job duties. All individuals performing technical functions are required to sign a Privileged-Level Access Agreement (PAA) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
  • This position requires the employee to occasionally travel (in the most expedient manner) away from the normal duty station 10% of the time. Government regulations will be followed for all official travel.
  • The employee may be required to work overtime to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • The employee may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during national emergency, severe weather or other installation closings.
  • The employee may be required to use cellular telephone and maintain a working home internet.
  • Must be able to obtain Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification within six months of being assigned to the position and maintain proficiency requirements.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; occasionally reviewing work completed by others. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: solving complex or sensitive problems by developing and proposing strategic alternatives; identifying possible conflicts and shared benefits; helping team anticipate problems and identifying and evaluating potential sources of information; providing feedback and coaching to others to help solve problems; engaging appropriate stakeholders when developing solutions in order to understand and incorporate multiple perspectives and needs; evaluating the effectiveness of decisions and adjusting future decisions as appropriate.
