This position is located in the Division of Administration (DOA), Acquisition Services Branch (ASB) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and serves as liaison with the private sector and other Federal agencies, and connects, engages, and assists businesses that want to provide goods and services to the FDIC.

Duties
Prepares and manages ASB’s Strategic Framework to include mission, vision, goals, objectives, and performance metrics; also works across FDIC to support critical ASB strategic level initiatives to develop new processes and tools. Examples include 1) stakeholder management and customer experience functions to improve relationships; 2) portfolio/strategic sources initiatives to optimize contract portfolios; and 3) supplier management/industry liaison/forecasting functions to attain best value for goods and services required by FDIC.
Collects and analyzes data to conduct research and determine root cause analysis and develops solutions to address deficiencies; includes applying various theories, quantitative and qualitative measurements, program/project management skills and preparing reports, and presentations.
Performs internal control reviews over ASB’s contracting operations and reviews audit findings to ensure compliance with acquisition policy and procedures; conducts root cause analysis and develops solutions to address deficiencies.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in applying analytical methods and techniques to conduct assessments to identify and propose solutions that impact acquisition and contracting operations.
