This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Assistance Commandant for Resources & CFO (CG-8), Office of Resource Management (CG-83), Washington, DC.
Duties
This position serves as a Budget Analyst (Leader), responsible directly, or through a team approach for enterprise obligation lifecycle management and is involved in developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on, and improving the effectiveness of the Coast Guard's budget execution processes.

- This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- Time-in-grade requirements must be met by closing date.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lowest grade level (GS-13 level) in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
AT GS-14 Level, applicant must meet ALL 3 of the following conditions: Resume MUST demonstrate that you have met the specialized experience.
Advance level experience in Budgetary Resource Management principals, specifically related to obligation lifecycle management; AND
Reviewing open obligations to validate continuing need; AND
Developing policy and procedures for budgetary processes.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
