This detail is a supervisory position.
Duties
OSD is recruiting to fill the Current Operations and Integration Division Director position with a DHS detailee.
This request should be a DHS HQ and DHS Component opportunity for senior GS14's to be acting in a GS15 position (120 months only) or any GS15's.
This detail will be a reimbursable detail for a minimum of 12 months and with the option of two six month extensions for a total duration not to exceed 24 months.
This positions duty location will be St. Elizabeths campus and will be a core telework position that is required to report to this duty location two days per week or four days per pay period.

- Must be a current Department of Homeland Security employee
- Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment.
- Must NOT have any pending/outstanding disciplinary actions
- Must have achieved a minimum of "meet expectations/proficiency" on latest performance appraisal/evaluation

Qualifications
Qualifications required:
The Current Operations Division provides a framework to support CWMD Leadership and staff through a crosscutting and coordinated approach to operational coordination, and information sharing to prevent, protect against, mitigate, and support response to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and nuclear incident. This is accomplished through the following branches:
CWMD Watch Desk: A 24/7/365 situational awareness and operations center engagement capability co-located with the DHS National Operations Center (NOC) to alert and notify the organization of CBRN & terrorist incidents.
Operations Integration: Information coordination staff that provides the CWMD common operational picture.
Future and Contingency Planning: Develops and integrates CWMD capabilities into operational, contingency, and crisis action plans across the CBRN domains. In this Branch, CWMD Crisis Action Planning and FBI WMD Strategic Group (WMDSG) planning is implemented.
Crisis Action Team: Leads the crisis and decision-making support structure during any national incident and the CWMD Crisis Action Team (CAT) logistics. The team provides the incident coordination capability, process, and management structure within CWMD to support the Department, and serves as the central coordination point for all CWMD incident-related information management.
OSD Division Director Roles and Responsibilities:
- Directly support the DAS and ADAS in leading the Directorate towards the accomplishment of CWMD mission and goals.
- Develop and implement organization goals, priorities, and capabilities.
- Responsible for approval and execution of the Division's Program Management Plan
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of Division deliverables.
- Lead and manage the Division's human, financial, material, and information resources to accomplish CWMD's mission.
- Manage performance plan development and align with the organization's mission and goals.
- Manage, oversee, and execute the Division's operating budget and resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize employee potential by building a work environment that encourages creative thinking and collaboration, and ensuring connections across the organization, both horizontally and vertically, to meet CWMD's vision, mission, and goals.
- Manage and support staff's efforts to improve Division's performance and capability.
- Work across the organization to balance change as well as continuity.
