You will serve as a Supervisory Production Manger in the Public Works Department Business Line of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will plan, direct, and supervise all aspects of the Production Division. You will formulate long range plans, policies, and goals for the Production Division. You will develop and submit an annual budget. You will be responsible for developing and meeting Command Energy management goals.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Facilities Enginering Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Managing transportation operations, equipment maintenance, and production control to include budgeting and execution of maintenance, repair, and inspection; 2) formulating long-range plans for organizational changes; 3) managing the manpower and workload requirements to meet organization goals; and 4) serving as technical advisor on emergency services and preventive maintenance issues and services.
