You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the STAFF ADMINISTRATION of COMNAVBEACHGRU 2.

Duties

You will serve as the administrator, advisor, and subject matter expert (SME) for all administrative and military personnel matters for the Administrative office for the staff. You will provide leadership and policy and manning/personnel oversight in direction of support of operational mission requirements. You will serve as the subject matter expert and administrator the Military Awards Program. You will serve as the command Awards Administrator by receiving, editing, tracking and obtaining signatures for the Commander, Naval Beach Group TWO (CNBG-2) military personal awards and Fleet awards. You will interface with individuals from all CNBG-2 activity commands pertaining to the status of award recommendations. You will provide and conduct formal training on CNBG-2 award policies and procedures. You will develop and implement procedures to facilitate the flow of work throughout the department.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • Travel, as much as 10% of the time is required. Travel may be by commercial (air, rail, POV, etc.) or government-operator (military aircraft, vessels or vehicle) or government-chartered carriers.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing short and long range manpower management and budget requirements. Experience and knowledge of the range of administrative laws, pertinent CNSL, and higher echelon policies, programs, directives, regulations and precedents governing the administration of manpower management and budgeting programs. Experience and knowledge of organization, programs, missions, and functions of CNSL and CNBG-2 organization command relationships, mission assignment, and functional responsibilities. Experience and knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps fitness reports, enlisted performance evaluations and civilian performance reviews. Experience using personal computers, computer operating systems, electronic mail and several popular software applications. Experience with a personal computer in a Windows based environment to include Microsoft Office suite, and a minimum experience with Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to effectively, plan, schedule and conduct studies/special projects. Experience in oral, written and graphic communications and presentations sufficient to represent CNBG-2 and interact with persons at all levels of seniority and authority, both in and outside the Navy in a clear and concise manner. Experience conducting analysis of fit/fill data in order to provide final trend analysis to senior leadership along with recommendations for better employment of manning assets.
