About the Position: This position serves as a Supply Technician for US Army Materiel Command, Print and Media distribution Center, St. Louis, MO.
Duties
Serves as a Supply Service representative for the facility.
Verifies quality ad quantity of items ordered/received prior to payment to contractor/vendor.
Employs extensive research, accessing a wide range of web sites and use of regulation guidelines to determine an appropriate source.
Records demands, orders, and receipts in the Quartermaster database to ensure critical stock levels are maintained.
Responsible for the accuracy of shipment versus purchase order.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A one year probation period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Utilizing supply automated systems, such as Government Purchase Card (GPC) to order and track supplies; 2) Conducting physical inventories of supply items in accordance with appropriate regulations; 3) Analyzing collected data to provide recommendations and solutions; and 4) Preparing necessary supply related reports.

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
