You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group, DITAC Dept of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will maintain cybersecurity program that includes cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives and policies, cybersecurity personnel, and cybersecurity processes and procedures in direct collaboration with the Cyber Security Directorate.
You will Maintain a repository for all cybersecurity-related documentation, i.e. Cybersecurity Workforce management and tracking, Certification and Accreditation, and Computer Network Defense.
You will analyze customer information systems for risk to the organization.
You will ensure that any cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level Intermediate (I) within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
You resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DS-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Developing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data; 2) Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs; 3) Developing and implementing programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures; and 4) Conducting systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
or
3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
