You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Material Division, Department of Energy (Naval Reactors) Material Office, of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will be responsible for warehousing operations (i.e., receiving, shipping, storing, issuing) involving components and equipment in four occupied warehouses. You will unload and process incoming material shipments. You will perform a visual inspection of items for shipping damage and technical violations and annotate any discrepancies identified. You will determine proper warehouse storage locations based on specific technical storage requirements of the material and maximum utilization of warehouse space. You will determine weight and cube of material for consolidation into truckloads. You will operate material handling equipment to stow and pull material and to conduct physical inventories.

I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection. C. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
