About the Position: This position is located in Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, in the Directorate of Resource Management, Property Management section. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical assistance on matters of supply operations.

Duties

Serves as the point of contact for information as to practices, policies, and procedures affecting supply and logistics support matters. Responsible for the receiving, processing, and issuing of the non-expendable medical and non-medical equipment for Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) Oversees the work of subordinates over warehousing and supply technical functions Serves as the Primary Hand Receipt Holder (PHRH) for Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC). Prepares and maintains sub-hand receipts and prepares procedures for 100% annual and 10% monthly inventories Assigns work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of the employees. Provides ongoing training and guidance regarding proper requisition receipt, property accountability, inventory management, and equipment disposition through written directives, on-sight meetings, on-the-job training and assistance visits.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position requires lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in maintaining accountability of Hand Receipts for non-expendable medical and non-medical equipment.; utilizing an automated database to track the status of property, supplies, or equipment; and provide supply support to customers. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply or Logistics business or other equivalent field. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information ManagementLeadershipOral CommunicationSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
