About the Position: This position is located in Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, in the Directorate of Resource Management, Property Management section.
The incumbent serves as the Senior Supply Officer and Accountable Property Officer (APO) for Tripler Army Medical Center.
Duties
Serves as the Senior Supply Officer and Accountable Property Officer (APO) for Tripler Army Medical Center.
Responsible for all supply and property assets to include budget submissions, equipment planning, acquisitions, requisitions, management, storage and disposal of property and equipment items.
Advises and provides consultation on all matters pertaining to supply acquisition and property accountability.
Ensures the organizations regulatory compliance and improves efficiency in operations.
Correlates supply and equipment items to mission requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Position may be designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
- Position may be designated as Emergency-Essential. In the event of a crisis situation or wartime, the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position to ensure the success of the mission.
- Position may be designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing advice, counsel or instructions to employees on either work or administrative matters; utilizing an automated supply system to maintain inventory data for an organization; and advising on policies and procedures pertaining to supply acquisition and property accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
