This position is located at Fort Eustis, Virginia, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach.
Duties
Serves as a senior operation and plans action officer with Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Operations and Taskings Division.
Takes action on operational programs assigned to TRADOC and coordinates supporting activities through all stages of completion.
Acts as staff officer for Headquarters (HQ) TRADOC and DCS G-3/5/7 for operations, plans, and operations-related programs.
Reviews section Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/plans for effectiveness and compliance with Army and other Headquarters Department of Army regulatory requirements.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing course of action recommendations on projects that require extensive coordination; 2) assisting in the development of courses of actions for a wide range of operational issues; 3) applying organizational policies to agency operations; and 4) assisting in the development of courses of actions for a wide range of operational issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
