About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W1E8AA USA INTELLIGENCE CTR OF EXCELLENCE. Perform office administrative duties; areas of responsibility include administrative management, records management, and secretarial support.

Duties

Maintains multiple organization calendars; coordinates, schedules and tracks meetings, video-teleconferences (VTCs), special events and projects. Uses multiple office automation software with various functions to produce documents that require formats such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts and updating or revising databases or spreadsheets. Serves as the organizations Agency Program Coordinator (APC) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Government Travel Card Program, and as Liaison between bank, card holders and Directorate of Resource Management (DRM). Serves as the organization's Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) and requests, reviews, and processes overseas documentation for travelers such as: country clearance, security verification, flight availability, passport application, etc. Serves as the organizations primary Timekeeper and researches and resolves pay and time problems for employees.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance based on a T3 ENTNAC/NAC/NACI/Background Investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must have one year or more of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing: 1. Scheduling meetings and appointments using automated calendars to include rescheduling appointments by arranging mutually convenient times for appointments and notifying supervisor of pending appointments, meetings and commitments; 2. Reviewing outgoing correspondence for signature of the supervisor for proper format, conformance with procedural instructions, grammar, typographical accuracy, and necessary attachments; 3. Assisting with travel arrangements within an organization; and, 4. Using standard office automation software to include word processing, database, email and web based applications.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-06). Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. OR Education: Successfully completed one full academic year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Public Administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education by 18. Add the two percentages.
