About the Position: Serves as the Project Scheduler responsible for applying a basic understanding of project cycles, scheduling, budgets, and USACE Automated Information Systems to support Baltimore District execution.
Duties
GS-07: In a developmental capacity, assists staff in preparing the scope, schedule, and budget for a project, and enters that in an automated information system, such as Primavera.
In a developmental capacity, apply project funding types and/or applicable standardized templates for creating the project in an automated information system, such as Primavera.
In a developmental capacity, brief project delivery team, project review boards, and/or management on basic project elements, such as schedule, budget, and/or scope.
In a developmental capacity, learn to apply regulations and/or policies to assist Project Managers make schedule decisions related to project execution, and/or resolve workload management issues with middle and/or senior management.
GS-09: With limited supervision, prepares project initiation documentation in an automated information system, such as Primavera, using the scope, schedule, and budget data collected.

GS-11: Independently determines project funding types and/or applicable standardized templates for creating the project in an automated information system, such as Primavera.
Independently assists staff in preparing the project initiation documentation in an automated information system, such as Primavera, using the scope, schedule, and budget data collected.
Independently briefs project delivery team, project review boards, and/or management on basic project elements, such as schedule, budget, and/or scope.
Reviews and applies regulations and/or policies to assist the Project Managers make schedule decisions related to project execution, and/or resolve workload management issues with middle and/or senior management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
- The duties of this position require Travel up to approximately 5% of the time.

GS-07: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Assisting in the development and/or maintenance of schedule and/or budgetary data utilizing an automated information system, such as Primavera; (2) Assist senior staff in making decisions regarding sequencing, interdependency, and/or duration of schedule tasks; or (3) Assisting in the review of schedule and/or budget data in automated information systems, such as Primavera; or (4) Assist senior staff in evaluating
performance by reviewing and researching variations in cost and/or schedule.
GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Initiating project work breakdown structures, budgets, and schedules, with limited supervision, utilizing an automated information system, such as Primavera; (2) Communicating verbally, at times leading discussion, with project managers, management, and/or project delivery teams regarding scoping, schedule, and/or budget; or (3) Reviewing schedule, cost, and/or budget data, with limited supervision, in automated information systems, such as Primavera; or (4) Conducting data analyses, with limited supervision, related to cost and/or schedule performance.
GS-11:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Initiating project work breakdown structures, budgets, and schedules, utilizing an automated information system, such as Primavera; (2) Leading discussions with project managers, management, and/or project delivery teams regarding scoping, schedule, and/or budget to ensure tasks are organized and prioritized appropriately through the life of the project; or (3) Reviewing schedule, cost, and/or budget data in automated information systems, such as Primavera, for quality; or (4) Conducting data analyses related to cost and/or schedule performance.
