About the Position: Serve as a Human Resources Specialist in U.S. Army Installation Management Command, Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorate, Human Resources Support Team at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Duties

Prepare and present reports and briefings on program status and/or recommended action to appropriate individuals. Demonstrate ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before Leadership. Analyze and evaluate program execution at subordinate installations; recognizes problem areas; and develops solutions to complex and unusual issues. Provide senior staff-level technical advice and assistance on a wide variety of Civilian HR Programs to all levels of staff and Leaders within the IMCOM Directorate. Provide interpretive guidance of laws, OPM, DoD, and DA guidance, regulations, policies, and procedures to supported installations. Process staff actions requiring Command review, both internally and externally, making sound recommendations for concurrence/non-concurrence.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
