Duties

Plans, directs, oversees, and evaluates the efforts of the employees in the Security Division engaged in security and intelligence specialist work. Provides authoritative positions on security policies and requirements at local, national, and international forums. Identifies developmental and training needs of employees, provides and/or arranges for needed developmental and training. Supports the ACC Continuity of Operations (COOP) Program and OPLAN by moving to and operating from an emergency relocation facility as a member of one of the commands COOP Support Teams.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. This is the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Certification Program directed by DoD Instruction 3305.13.
