About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Security Specialist (Protection) located in U.S. Army Material Command, DCS, G-3 for Operations and Readiness Directorate in Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties

Review security systems, identify potential vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements and countermeasures to offset weaknesses. Provide advice, guidance and direction to security specialists throughout the organization's footprint on policy interpretation and application, resolution of particularly difficult problems and situations. Identify developmental and training needs of employees and, in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, take appropriate actions to provide those needs. Assess and analyze the personal and physical security programs to develop measures to improve each program.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization.
• A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
