This position serves as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS/INFOSEC), located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces in Washington, DC. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Product Owner for OCDETF's information systems, reporting to the OCDETF IT Manager.

The duties and responsibilities for an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC),GS 2210 14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serves as the Product Owner in an Agile environment supporting all OCDETF information systems, including classified and unclassified systems
Serves as a proxy for information system end users and stakeholders and provides insights into how end users interact with information systems that drive requirements definition and feature prioritization decisions.
Makes recommendations to IT leadership for incorporating new software, technologies, and applications into OCDETF IT systems.
Leads development of broad enterprise solutions that address a range of needs over single functions.
Provides expert information security advice to the IT Manager and to the Principal Associate Director.
Responsible for information resources management of OCDETF which consist of communications, computing, and infrastructure.
Serves as OCDETF's Component Configuration Manager (CCM) with responsibility for managing all information system configuration control for OCDETF systems.
Consults with OCDETF IT leadership, including IT Manager and senior information security manager to include cybersecurity requirements and considerations into user experience.
Evaluates IT solutions, including contractor and vendor work, for accuracy, suitability, completeness, and overall value to OCDETF.
Works with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and with other senior IT stakeholders (e.g. OCDETF IT Manager, OCDETF Information Systems Security Manager) to monitor performance and execution of business systems and to ensure applicable requirements are met.
Translates business needs into software application or information system requirements.
Coordinates and directs groups on OCDETF and interagency projects involved with issues relating to equipment, and systems software policy and technology planning.
Provides input to IT Manager and to procurement staff to define and review information system scope and objectives

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS/INFOSEC) at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
Basic Qualifications for 2210 series: To qualify for the position of IT Project Manager (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC) GS 2210 14, all applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
1) Attention to Detail - is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail.
2) Customer Service - works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3) Oral Communication - expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4) Problem Solving - identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: Leading quality assurance activities and serve as the Product Owner for multiple software systems that include web applications and large relational databases; Eliciting and refining IT system requirements to ensure developed software best meets mission needs; Collecting, analyzing, and reporting feedback from end users, stakeholders, and information security analysts for continuous improvement and risk management.
