About the Position: This position is located with the Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Duties
Respond to Customer inquiries, prepare due-out reconciliation and recoverable items listings as required by customer.
Process customer documents walk-thru and/or turn-in requests, material release orders, and receiving reports.
Manage inventory transaction records/files, both automated and manual.
Adjust and report discrepancies in stock record balances found during inventory.
Perform general storage and warehouse functions, receiving, issuing, storing, locating, inventorying.

Collect data and prepare reports as required.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the certification to operate a forklift within 6 months and maintain thereafter.
- This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program).
- This position requires employee to wear safety shoes and protective clothing when necessary.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position may require the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing assigned supply items by analyzing data statistics, reports and records concerning stock status, projected requirements, availability, and delivery schedule; researching data and records to investigate discrepancies; and maintaining inventory control using an automated system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics and Business Administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
OR
Combination of education and experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
