About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

Duties

Applies inventory management and supply planning operations expertise to balance supply to meet forecasted demand by generating secondary item supply action recommendations. Plans, develops, implements, and manages effective and affordable product supply support strategies throughout the life cycle for weapons, materiel, or information systems, as addressed in applicable policy/regulatory guidance. Reviews Material Requirements Planning (MRP) inputs and coordinates with the authoritative source of these inputs. Evaluates and synthesizes analysis provided to resolve complex supply planning issues involving processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures for assigned secondary items. Ensures the command's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, and work products. Develops plans, policies, and procedures and exercises overall team leadership for supply chain-related matters. Works collaboratively with other organizations to address program operations and ensure user needs and planning assumptions are incorporated into program activities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Advanced Level in Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • One year probationary period may be required.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.

Experience interpreting guidance to investigate supply chain discrepancies and take appropriate action. Experience preparing briefings both orally and written to brief stakeholders. Experience utilizing supply chain management processes and procedures for lifecycle management.
