About the Position: The position serves as an Operations Officer for US Army Installation Management Command, Directorate of Emergency Service, Fort Bliss Texas.

Duties

Perform analytical studies to ensure maximum utilization of resources for the installation. Use advanced quantitative and/or qualitative analysis techniques to develop strategic plans. Develop guidance on security issues to protect personnel and/or property. Ensure emergency facilities are properly assessed to meet the long term goals of the organization. Coordinate operations based on natural disasters to pre-assessed intelligence data for installation force protection.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Developing, reviewing, and analyzing programs and issues in direct support of the organizational strategic plan to support the mission. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
