Duties
Conduct work site evaluations to identify status of projects, identify changes in materials and work required.
Coordinates with trade shops, engineers, and employees to develop schedules for completing each phase of a work operation.
Maintains records, documents, and project status reports to prepare work plans, evaluate effectiveness of shops, improve cost effectiveness and efficiency of the work.
Reviews work orders for buildings, utilities, and other facilities to identify work requirements, resources, and funding.
Enters transactions and information in an automated equipment maintenance scheduling and work order system.
Requires knowledge of a variety of trades craftwork to be performed by carpenters, electricians, machinist, plumbers, and pipe fitters.

- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- A secret security clearance is required.
- A one-year probationary may be required.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Maintenance Scheduler/Planner ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common work site inspections to identify status of projects, materials used, and work to be completed. I can coordinate with employees performing the duties from inception to completion and follow methods and procedures to insure work is accomplished in the most effective and economical manner. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Working Conditions: Work for position requires physical effort to walk and stand for long periods of time, reach and stretch, and work in awkward positions to conduct work inspections.
Physical Effort: Work for this position is performed inside and outside in all types of weather with exposure to a variety of unpleasant conditions including fumes, sewers, and dust with exposure to a variety of hazards to conduct work inspections.
