About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Senior Planner in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command-Deputy Chief of Staff, G-5-Plans, Strategy, and Policy Directorate.

Duties

Serve as the senior planner in the G-53 Theater Plans Division, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS), G-5 Plans, Strategy, and Policy Directorate, United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC). Provide subject matter expertise for planning Space Control, Space Situational Awareness, and other space capabilities, missile defense (Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), and missile defeat) into operations. Edit army space requirements in adversary plans- integrated Time Phased Force Deployment Document (TPFDD). Lead the sourcing of army space flexible response options (FROs) and flexible deterrent options (FDOs). Review joint operation planning and execution system (JOPES) and global force management (GFM) related documents.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) adjudication and is therefore subject to mandatory drug testing.
