About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

Duties

Provides collocated integrated logistics support (ILS) to a Program Manager (PM) for assigned weapon system(s) plans, coordinates, manages, tracks, and executes the entire range of readiness activity in support of assigned programs. Establishes procedures, priorities, and schedules; and tasks functional elements to accomplish specific program actions consistent with provided requirements, schedules, and funding. Resolves controversial issues by most expeditious means available. Coordinates, provides updates to, and reviews Acquisition Packages such as Materiel Release Packages, Functional Authority Statements, and LCSP's. Participates in the ILS Integrated Process Team (IPT). Reviews and approves/disapproves the ILS portions of all Material Release Statements, outlining reasons for disapproving and offering corrective proposals/remedies. Conduct continuing logistic status reviews for assigned programs. Develops and details the logistic acquisition strategy for assigned systems and incorporates the same into a Materiel Release and LCSPs. Develops innovative support concepts that ensure system readiness and reduce support costs. Identifies significant problems (actual and incipient) associated with support status; evaluates the problems as they pertain to the command; and develops a position aimed at resolving the difficulty or minimizing its adverse implications. Serves as the principal source of information on logistic matters for the assigned system(s), responsible for keeping the Project Manager and Readiness Functional Directors informed of ILS acquisition status of assigned programs. Responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the ILS Data Base. Acts as spokesman at briefings for the assigned system(s). Prepares written correspondence and presents briefings and status reports to a variety of activity and command level review boards. Provides direct oversight with PMs on Materiel Release packages and ensures all Army Requirements are met before the Materiel Release Authority approves a system Materiel Release.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access/eligibility.
• Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements as this is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion or an on-duty accident.
• One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Foundational certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
