You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPORT SERVICES SPECIALIST in the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific, Business Directorate, Command Services Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.

Duties

You will analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative programs. You will provide support to subject matter experts within the command concerning PA/FOIA statutes. You will provide assistance to the Command Services manager and Security Manager with development and implementation of the command Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) programs. You will find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce barriers to protection. You will seek to improve business practices. You will resolve complaints from individual employees, resolve group grievances, and investigate serious complaints.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing and coordinating the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) & Privacy Act (PA) Administration; 2) Administering a documents and records management program including developing and implementing policies, plans and procedures all media types (paper, electronic, microform, audiovisual, pictorial, cartographic, architectural, engineering, etc.); 3) Overseeing employees with task completion, conflict resolution, career development, and evaluation; and 4) Advising and assisting command personnel on the regulations and policies for the acquisitions of small purchase items from the Navy, DOD, and General Services Administration (GSA) supply systems; Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
