Peace Corps Office of Inspector General works to: promote economy, efficiency and effectiveness in the Agency's operations and management; prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse; conduct audits; and keep the Director and Congress fully informed. The program analyst reports to the Assistant Inspector General for Audit. This vacancy is being announced at two grade levels: FP-5 Qualifying experience for the FP-5 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the FP-7 or GS-7 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: Experience assisting in the preparation of plans for conducting evaluations, audits or investigations that will facilitate implementation of the evaluation, audit or investigation goals. FP-4 Qualifying experience for the FP-4 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the FP-5 or GS-9 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: Experience performing auditing, evaluation or inspection activities to determine conformance to accepted principles/procedures; Experience analyzing data to generate special reports of value to the evaluation, inspection, audit or investigative process and OIG operations.
