Duties

Serve as Information Management Officer (IMO) for the Aberdeen Proving Ground Garrison Commander. Responsible for coordinating Command, Control, Communications, and Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) requirements with the supporting Network Enterprise Center (NEC). Analyze, evaluate, document and make recommendations on the merits of proposed system development projects. Perform studies to advise on the merits of a proposed approach for the configuration and management of new hardware and software for IT systems. Coordinate the delivery, deployment, maintenance, and growth capacity of IT assets for identified requirements and supported activities within the Garrison. Perform pre-award functions for procurements involving Garrison complex contracts of highly specialized, extensive, new or innovative equipment systems, research, and services. Prepare solicitation packages to include Statements of Work (SOW), Technical Evaluation Criteria, Bid Schedules, etc., for contract. Serve as Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for the acquisition of Information Management contracts.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification within 90 days of assignment to the position and maintain proficiency requirements.
  • Information Assurance: Must be able to attain IA level II Baseline certification within 180 days of appointment.
