About the Position: The Drug Test Coordinator works under the general supervision of the Alcohol and Drug Control Officer or the Supervisory Prevention Coordinator maintaining quality control procedures; serving as technical advisor to commanders and civilian/military supervisors; operating urinalysis equipment; and training Unit Prevention Leaders, civilian employees and civilian/military personnel in supervisory/management positions.
*This is a Term position not-to-exceed 2 years position.
Duties
Performs administers, controls, and coordinates the installation drug and/or alcohol testing and training programs in accordance with directives and policies
Manage the drug and/or alcohol testing program.
Resolves operational problems involving the drug and/or alcohol-testing program.
Provides training in all classes dealing with drug and/or alcohol testing.
Oversees the operation of alcohol breathalyzer detection equipment.
Coordinates, creates, and submits statistical reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent will be certified by the DA DTC Certification Course within 9 months of assuming their duties.
- This is an obligated position.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last 2 years.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the coordination of drug testing program; coordinate training for managers on drug testing and policies and how to assist with administering urinalysis tests; assisting with the operation of the forensic alcohol breathalyzer equipment; and preparing statistical reports on drug and alcohol testing programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education:Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: sociology, psychology, counseling, and social work.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
